If you aren’t already using a mobile application to enhance your crafting endeavors, you are in luck! There are many to browse and will assist you in choosing and tracking projects, shopping for supplies, and saving money when you do.
Craft Finder for iOS
This app accesses Disney’s FamilyFun database of crafts, searchable by age, occasion, or time to complete. Favorite crafts can be saved in the “planning,” “doing,” or “done” stage. Each activity includes step-by-step instructions with photos, and capabilities to share your accomplishment via Facebook, Twitter, or email.
Michaels for iOS and Android (Note: not all features are yet available on Android.)
Along with store information (locations, coupons) there are some handy project-help features in this app, including the ability to search project ideas by material – a great way to use up those odds and ends! Conversely, if you need to buy new supplies, there is a handy Michaels-specific shopping list. The app also includes a QR code reader – just point it at any QR code in a Michaels store to get project ideas and inspirational videos.
Arts and Crafts Coupons for Android
Save money at thousands of online and brick-and-mortar stores with user-submitted coupons. This app has earned a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5, with many reviewers citing the ease of looking in one place for all of their coupons instead of subscribing to individual stores.
StitchMinder for iOS
Counting each stitch is a cinch with StitchMinder! Track rows and repeats with ease.
Pinterest for iOS and Android (features may vary)
Pin, edit, move boards around, make and edit comments, and manage comments on your own boards… all from your Android phone or iOS device! This app was recently updated, so if you already have it installed, you’ll want to be sure you have the latest version.
